Hi David! I'm working in a production and I have some audio cues that have a volume of -54. When they fade out I and the director can hear the stop of the song. Is it possible to set the fade out from -60 to something infinite, or -120 or more?

David

Eventually I hope to have the minimum level lower than -60dB but need to work on that.

Is it something difficult to implement?

David

The current -60dB is set in many places and I'll have to see what the implications are with existing fades.

debbio

Ok, if you can change it, it would be wonderful! thank you

Hi David! Do you have any news about? Is it something easy to implement?

David

Sorry, any change to the current -60dB point won't be happening this year.

+1 for this request. When fading a loud walk-up sting -60dB is still quite audible and makes for a hard stop to the track.

David

I've been playing about with the minimum volume set to -120dB.

It does work, but of course the slider control covers a larger range so feels a lot different to use.

Maybe I can allow the user to choose the minimum value (-60 / -90 / -120) somewhere in Preferences?

David

I have added the option as Preferences > Cues > Volume Min where you can choose -60dB (the default), -90dB or -120dB.

Check it out in the next release and see if it suits.
