I have been asked in a production to make an audio cue fade in, but not from silence, but from something like -20 db, so the first notes of the song can actually be heard and then the song slowly increase in volume.

I think maybe an option to fade in from (or fade out to) an adjustable dB value would be handy.

You can do this now. Set the volume in Cue Properties to the desired starting volume.

Add in a cue point close to the start that triggers a control cue. Put the control cue at the end of the main cue list or in the adlib list to keep it out of the way.

Set that control cue to do the volume change with the audio cue as it's target and whatever end volume and time you need.

Set the Advance Action of the control cue to No Action so it doesn't alter the GO position.

Eventually you'll be able to do stuff like this all within the audio cue once I have the waveform / timeline view implemented.
