David
Is it possible to retain the screen settings, orientation, and any size or scaling adjustments so that it opens as previously used?
Thanks
Brian

David

Brian, that's certainly something I'm looking to do for the v1.3.0.0 release.

Brian Holder

That's great, also is it feasible to have an OSC command to unhide the toolbar/ settings menu?

David

I hadn't really thought of that, but no reason why not I guess.

I'll have to think of suitable OSC addresses for them and syntax for show / hide.

Brian Holder

The reason I ask is that once you hide the toolbar, there is no apparent way of unhiding it, so you seem to be permanently stuck with this setting.

There are the function keys which are always on the right side of the menu item.

F8  toggles the tool bar (also in the View menu).
F11 toggles full screen (also in the View menu).
ALT + F4 exits the program (also in the File menu).

Hi David
Unfortunately non of these key combinations work on the particular laptop that I am using. This is a Lenovo Yoga which folds back completely to act as a tablet. This means I can mount it in landscape on the mixer and it has a 14inch screen which makes the script easy to follow.
Brian

A quick check and non of these functions work on any of my laptops, so once you go full screen with no toolbar you are stuck, though you can exit the program using the windows key and right click the mouse.

David

Are you saying that none of the function keys work on any of your devices?

Brian Holder

Not exactly, they all work fine on my desktop but Alt F4, F8, F11 have no effect on any of my various laptops. Dell with Win 10, Lenovo with Win 10, Lenovo with Win 11
I have tried them all with variations of Shift, Control, Alt, Alt Gr, but no combination will close the program or restore the toolbar. I have also tried all of the F keys with the combinations to no avail hence the request for these functions via OSC commands.
Thanks
Brian

I can also confirm that none of the function keys work except for ALT + F4 to exit program.  Running v. 3.0.214 on Dell Windows 11

David

Jim, are you talking about MultiPlay or PDF Reader?

F11 works for toggling Full Screen mode in both for me on my desktop.

I'll try both on a laptop later today.

David

I just tried PDF Viewer v1.2.1.0 on an old Dell laptop and the F8 and F11 function keys work as expected.

That said, in v1.3.0.0 the Show Toolbar and Full Screen menu items will show in the popup menu when the respective items are in effect.

On Laptops it is often possible to swap the use of the Function-keys. You can then use the Function {x} or the second option like volume - Brightness.

On my HP noetbook it is called Fn Lock, But other options are also possible.
