Control Cue Fade Pause/Resume

Hello! I'm looking for a way to pause and resume an audio cue but have the cue fade out before pausing and then fade back in again when it resumes. I've tried a few things, and can work out how to do a regular pause and resume, but I'd rather avoid any manual fading if at all possible.

Is there a way to do this that I'm just not spotting?

You could do that with pairs of control cues for the fade pause and resume fade operations.

Fade cue down
Pause cue
...
Resume cue
Fade cue up

And if we could merge these pair of control cues into a group cue it would be great
